My Thoughts 💭
Toro became an investment for me when I read an article about the company exploring autonomous AI vehicles for cutting grass.
I figured if anyone was going to implement this technology first it would be Toro. Plus they paid a dividend I thought it would be a great investment because grass will always need cutting.
At 93.5k sats per share (@85,983), you’d receive a yearly dividend of 1,768 sats, which would take 52.9 years to recoup your initial investment. The company is a tad bit expensive at a PE of 23.

Leadership
Having never used Toro products I can’t attest to their effectiveness of cutting grass but since grass needs to be cut around the world I somewhat consider Toro will always have a a market for it’s products. But the growth story I was hoping for never came. I bought my first shares back in May of 2022 and I am down a total of 3%. If you include the dividend payments I possibly could have broken even.
But I see why the stock price hasn’t risen much. They can’t grow! The balance sheet is a mess very little cash flow and they haven’t leveraged AI to deliver the growth I was expecting. The business has been around since 1914 but this is another company Saylor talks about having a growth problem. They pay a dividend which makes the shareholders happy but does little to grow/improve the overall business so they are somewhat stuck making any substantial earnings to justify a higher price for investors.
But it is a solid business and the chances of this company going bankrupt are low. But it’s not work the 93k sat price it’s commanding now. I won’t sell my shares but I’m not adding more either. Just another great company for the world but meh on Wall Street.
