Interesting exercise at the top of the page. You can probably identify them all correctly, but it's getting harder. I scored 11/12 myself, as I misidentified a real video as fake; after re-watching I found that I missed a detail that made it "real".
Humans are ranked #1 in fake detection according to this research.

I got two wrong. 9 and 12 are very difficult for me.

I only missed number 8. What did you see in number 8 that made you say it was fake?
reply
In 8 the crack is wrong, then there is a flicker in the right corner right before the roller, then there is a cut where paint magically appeared after the roller.

This crack? I can’t see anything wrong with it! WTF

When it is applied:

I’m not seeing it. Can you take a screenshot?

Already figured that but you replied before my slow old ass could do all the clicks lol

Ah, I see it now. That crack shouldn’t have formed considering how the cement was.

Clearly this is going away. I expect to be completely unable to detect fakes within a year or two.

smearing the mud really didn't look right to me. whenever I've done things like that, the path matches my trowel differently.

Hahaha! That’s why I don’t see anything wrong with it. I’ve never done any of this!

Oh wow.

The answer is yes. All this stuff can absolutely fool humans. There's imperfections in every one of them, but most of us don't have the expert eye to see it.
Some other things that can absolutely fool humans include:
  1. Counterfeit paintings
  2. Counterfeit watches
  3. Counterfeit handbags
Notice, unless you're a painter, watchmaker, or purse designer, none of the above have really concerned you, but now it seems we've entered the era of COUNTERFEIT EVERYTHING!
Still just same ol', simple counterfeiting, though.
