This reminds me of a old Russian joke I heard from Ronald Reagan.

Two Soviet Russians toiling in a field, freezing, tired, under constant surveillance. One says to the other "Is this it? Have we finally done it? Have we achieved full communism?". The other responds "Oh no. No no no. Things are going to get MUCH worse.."
