Holy shit. There was a period from the early '80s to the early '90s where Reiner was on fire (Misery, Princess Bride, The Sure Thing, Spinal Tap, Stand by Me). What an awful ending.
That's a few miles from where I live. Really scary. Will keep tabs on this story, especially what the motives of the killer were. If it was a random killing, people in LA are gonna be spooked

edit: He was also a meathead and his political grandstanding was insufferable
I don't celebrate murder but I will not miss him and the world will be less loud
