Guys, Lightning Network started in 2018... And from 2020 exploded the use of LN, with so many "pleb" nodes around...
Onchain is moving sats only for opening/closing LN channels and some normies using CEX. Maybe some other "saylors" out there consolidating into taproot addresses, but in the rest, there's no point into do your shopping using onchain.
All these Glassnode stats about BTC onchain are quite meaningles or are for dumb normies that have no idea about the whole Bitcoin system.
Bitcoins moving super fast over LN, not onchain.

Some services don't support LN yet and I like the predictable onchain fees. LN isn't always cheaper than onchain, especially for large payments. Hopefully that will change over time.
Or does your experience differ?

I have at least 2 years that I didn't buy anything using onchain. Only LN. You are using LN not because the fees are lower, but because you have instant settlement.
You are not going to a grocery store to pay onchain and wait to be confirmed. That's sooooo 2013ish. Or are you "fresh meat" into this space? You get into Bitcoin in 2020 or what?
Yes, you can still use onchain payments, when you buy online, from home comfort, with all the time you need, for a larger amount. Yes, there you can put a lower fee, but this is not going to stay the same forever.
GET USED TO USE LIGHTNING NETWORK! You will regret later if you do not know it better NOW.

I mostly buy stuff online so waiting a few minutes (still much faster than tradfi) doesn't matter.
And I did get into bitcoin in 2020, haha

With this, I agree
