Came up with a comprehension cloze exercise for my students
Have you ever been to a rooftop garden? Well, I have. I appreciated the 1) opportunity to learn about urban farming.
When I 2) made my way to Osaka, I visited the sky farm located at the top of Osaka Station City. I was impressed 3) with the wide range of vegetables grown. 4) Other than strawberries, broccoli, spring onions and cauliflowers were also cultivated there.
I could tell that 5) much thought had been put into planning the farm. 6) Relying on solar panels was a measure adopted to cut down on energy consumption. Another measure was the provision of benches, which encouraged 7) interaction among visitors. They could 8) spend a leisurely time admiring the vegetables and catching 9) up with one another.
I thought it was wonderful how the Osaka authorities thought 10) outside the box. Bringing their creative ideas to 11) life, the rooftop garden has become an invaluable space that is 12) beneficial for people’s well-being. I hope that their initiative can spread all 13) over Japan so that more people can benefit. Studies have 14) shown that spending time with nature boosts endorphins, so rooftop gardens can help people 15) cope with stress.

I'm also impressed like you, I like the green the vegetables give, now imagine the nutrients they offer.
