BIP 444 was never officially assigned as the number for the Reduce Data Temporary Soft Fork (it just kinda caught on after someone -- Luke? -- suggested it).
Now the proposal has an official number: BIP 110
I still think thia soft fork is a bonkers idea.

This soft fork is like bluffing with a high card at poker while your opponents can see your hand in the mirror behind you.

Luke-Jr's real goal isn't filters, or killing off op_return.
He is going to force core to accept utreexo into mainline when he ninja prunes it into next release of knots.
Luke is no fool. He is used to winnng.
And he's going to win again.
