My brother once gifted me an empty advent calendar. He thought there was something inside, but it was meant to be filled. It took me a couple of days to realize that the doors I had opened weren’t just empty to create suspense.

That's pretty hilarious! My wife really, really likes advent calendars. If I gave her an empty one, I think she'd kill me in my sleep.
