Yes I went there in May to buy a coffee- its situated on the waterfront in Wellington and so very close to the parliament and tourist hotspot.
I live in the South Island and rarely go to Wellington but had to go there for family matters and so made a point to check out the place as I do whenever traveling to check out and support any business accepting BTC/LN.
Unfortunately when I visited their ability to receive LN from my Coinos wallet was not working. They were using a https://lightningpay.nz/ wallet and so I opened my lightningpay wallet but that did not work either! Disappointing but perhaps they had just started accepting and were not yet properly set up.
Ended up having to pay in filthy fiat.
Was planning to write up about it here on SNs but since the experience was a failure decided not to. Annoying when a business advertises LN acceptance but have not got their system working.
Lightningpay is a Queenstown based BTC only LN based exchange who are really pushing for MoE adoption...they have got dozens of businesses in Queenstown accepting Bitcoin.
Am hoping to take a road trip in the camper van down to Queenstown sometime in the next 6 months to check out the restaurants they have there accepting Bitcoin.
Great to see this policy group pushing for an exemption for BTC spending under $1000.
It is absolutely vital.
Without it most people are not going to adopt BTC for everyday spending.
Apart from Queenstown there are still very few businesses accepting in most of NZ - here in Christchurch there is just one Veitnamese Bread Roll shop well worth a visit great iced coffee and pork belly bread rolls - if in town it is the only place I will go to eat out.

Most other accepting businesses here are not everyday consumer retail but luxury goods, jewelry high end car dealers etc...not my scene.
Oh. You're a Kiwi? Cool. How are the Bahn Mis? I've seen them on btcmap!
Maybe you wanna give feedback on #1272818? :)

Yes. The Bahn Mi are really good! I wrote up a review on them #878208
Regarding where to buy Bitcoin now that https://kiwi-coin.com/ are closing down (due to being debanked) lightningpay.nz would be the place to go- unless you prefer to avoid KYC and fees and go to a meet up and buy directly from a fellow bitcoiner- which some people will consider more risk, but also more p2p!
lightningpay are good but I do not usually use their wallet and their wallet fees are imo moderate to steep- still they are the best btc only cex in NZ.
Another option would be Aussie based Independent Reserve who have some NZ banking but are also KYCing.
