Based off of everything I am seeing/reading and the video and pictures I would say its not just critical but extremely critical. From one of the first images I saw and in subsequent ones they were treating the guardsman's head... In the video that was over 1:15 long I didnt see any movement in the legs from either of the people hit.

Honestly, I thought for sure they were dead so the fact that they arent is a huge plus. If it was worst case I would say at least their families might get an opportunity to say bye.... as terrible as that is
