pull down to refresh

I noticed the random filter got axed, probably because not many people used it. I dropped an idea about this before, but I can't find it, so I'm bringing it up again.
I think it'd be cool and super useful to have a filter right next to 'hot-recent-top' that just shows you all the posts you haven't seen since the last time you hit that new filter. We can call it 'new,' and basically, it just pulls up all the unseen posts sorted from oldest to newest.
What do you fellow stackers think?

I don't want another sort. More than three sorts is a mistake.
I think pairing these three sorts with more filters can solve most needs.

This filter would seriously make SN experience better. Don't know if it's just me, but at the end of the day, it's totally up to you.

I'm down for possibly adding it as a filter. But not as a sort.

Sorting things the opposite way from usual is just to help ZAP the person who posted first. A lot of times you end up zapping the one who posted last, which isn’t as fair.
All the real work is in implementing the filter, sorting posts (only in this 'new' filter) by date is literally a one-line SQL thing. Why don’t you think sorting it the other way is a good idea?

But you already see this "unread" filter by the color of posts. The unread are the ones in bold and the read ones are in gray. Is so simple.

Try switching devices and see if it still does that. Looks like you don’t even know how SN works! Hahaha.

I use SN mostly on desktop and I know what I read and not.

Good riddance to the random filter!
Unread is an interesting idea. Doesn't recent kind of serve this function though?

you can't sort posts from oldest to newest with the recent filter. If the 'unseen' filter ain't on, there's no way to sort by the oldest. I liked it better that way, but I dunno if that matters to other stackers, so I put it up for some feedback.
