I rode my bicycle to the grocery store today and on the way home I came across someone's junk scattered all over the road. Looked like a weird antenna and thick metal mounting brackets. Definite hazard to motorists. Got off my bike and waited for the road to clear before I threw the junk off to the side in the dirt.
I figured I got everything so I was about to get back on my bike. A dump truck zoomed past. An old woman walking on the sidewalk saw what I was doing and picked up some more brackets that I didn't notice. She asked what happened and I said, "I don't know." She said she was worried that the dump truck was going to run over the bracket and cause it to hit her. I said something about making it safe.
I found a manual for the antenna and I put the stuff on top as a paperweight. She asked if there was anything else and I said, "I think that's it." and then I nodded and zoomed off.
Maybe it was a thing that fell off someone's truckbed. Maybe they'll come back for it. Feels really good to do good deeds like this.
