I’m guessing, if they’ve even thought it through this far, that they are wanting to flee to Europe.
I also suspect they are unaware that Europe tends to have stricter abortion laws than America.
The fascinating thing about this trend is that it actually started around 2012, Obama's second term, and then reversed a bit 2017/2018, middle of Trump's first term, before shooting up again during Covid
Maybe these women are actually tired of gender propaganda

Seems unlikely to me. But, there is likely more going on that what we are discussing.

I was kidding about the gender propaganda. More likely the causality runs the other way: the more that gender propaganda ramped up, the more dissatisfied they became of... everything, honestly.

That's an astute observation. I do think many people have been unhappy with the direction of the country long before Trump. Really since 9/11. Obama was a disappointment to many on the left. I know that isn't a common comment you see but I know a number of left wingers that were very let down by his lies. His promises to roll back Bush's polices. Instead he operated them more intelligently on a political level. I remember one friend telling me he'd never vote again after a couple years of Obama.
Then we have the results of socialist policies in the cities. The high cost of living. The homelessness. The drug abuse. The crime. I think MANY people are unhappy but can't put a finger on why its all sucking. You see it with people that move to Texas from California but aren't really understanding why California is such a mess.
Yeah, many people get it but in my experience most people don't. Trump and politics is an easy scapegoat. It doesn't make sense really as both parties have had similar policies for decades. The difference is in degrees. But this is a subtle thing.
And another thing is the rise of social media and influencers. My guess is its a combination of many factors.

Also... talk is cheap. Been hearing people say this crap since the Bush admin.

No kidding. Canada should be packed to the gills with American leftists by now.

The dramatic lurch to the left started during Occupy so 2012ish makes sense.

Yep, just made a comment on this. The US Republican system is actually good for diversity of opinion if the US would actually practice it. Some states allow things that others do not. But because the government education system lies to students most do not understand that. Instead we hear about democracy and how Californians should care deeply about the laws in Alabama. And we must rig districts to protect democracy.
We get what we deserve I guess. We are a population of selfish busybodies.
