Really interesting and profound work. How do you figure I would be “more-or-less” interested?

I read your post this and watched the caveman video while drinking my coffee. It brings to mind Plato’s allegory of the cave, which was the inspiration for the Matrix. The caveman’s journey takes a different approach though because the caveman starts as a free being and is enslaved which makes it easier for him to break free because he has memories of freedom. While both the slaves in Plato’s allegory and everyone in the Matrix are born in slavery which makes it harder to scape and even when they do those still enslaved in the Plato’s cave and the matrix try to pulled them back or ridicule them. I think that we are closer to Plato’s cave and the Matrix because we were form already enslaved by the systems which control us which makes it harder to actually “wake up” or scape from the darkness of the cave. Is my thinking on the right track?

yes, u are correct; great observations; the slaves in Plato's allegory were born in the darkness, so they don't remember anything but the darkness (wrongs); they still have a hunch that things ain't right;
