For as long as they took, it really is confusing how rough it still is.

But I like that you can add both your PC and your phone to rooms. I like that they are thinking in terms of being your own relay like that. Really awesome.

It's an Alpha release.

If someone told me 6 months ago, that I'd help make the first fully P2P platform for mobile, all with a custom JS runtime, basically re-implementing everything from scratch, I'd say they've had been eating too many šŸs. Can't believe we did it!

Maybe that explains why this is so piss poor. Was testing with desktop and mobile and they just stopped syncing altogether.

I understand if the app UI isn’t great. But the core function and offering of Holepunch is p2p syncing. Like come on…

Do they not have any way to handle merges if devices get out of sync? Seems like a basic concern

Further in that thread, in response to the status of the source code:

we only make open source things, but we are also very serious about it and only publish when docs etc are ready so people have a chance to consume it, rather than "big pile of code". šŸjs coming soon tho.

It’s pure p2p. So it’s probably just not for you if you’re not willing to change your paradigm around things like that.
