I know that crime/thriller miniseries happen every week, but some of them are really good, and this one's fantastic. Danes and Rhys are both excellent as very unlikable people (Danes has the harder lift here, as she's a mom whose son was killed in an accident, but manages to make it clear she's been letting the grief fuel a level of anger at everyone around her that goes beyond what's acceptable). Rhys may have killed his first wife, and is from a family of sociopaths (including Jonathan Banks from Breaking Bad as his dad).
Great supporting cast, too -- aside from Banks, we get Natalie Morales, Bill Irwin, and Brittany Snow. And it's well-written and directed (it's by the guy who did Homeland).
Well worth an eight-episode binge if you like twisty crime shows.
