Men used to be the providers in many cultures, and now feminists want to be equal. In some Western cultures, when men offering to pay can be seen as an insult in the eyes of feminists, but in many cultures, it remains the norm.
Do you think men paying for everything is still normal, or do you expect women to go to work and share the pay?

Where I live couples we know do different things. Dating and married couples probably determine who pays.
My wife and I share everything. I usually let her handle the everyday expenses (shopping).

So you expect your wife to work and pay while taking care of everything else?

No.
We are a more traditional family where she cooks and cleans and I provide. Later I think she wants to work again when the kids are older. It might go either way. There doesn't have to be one bread winner.
I guess what I was trying to say was that when we were dating, I paid for (almost) everything. When we got married my money became hers and hers mine. It's shared now.
