Unlike the rest of the US Texas is able to scale and build data centers because of ERCOT and staying within the state eliminating federal permits. In West Texas there are already plans to build huge natural gas plants that not only help address the current supply issue (Texas is pumping to much nat gas and the pipelines are full) but ensure demand as pipelines are built to handle the new capacity. One facility is going to use carbon capture from the plant for enhanced oil recovery.

There is a ton of empty land and this is a great use of it!
