I went golfing for the first time at 12 and I thought golf was a fancy thing and I needed to dress like golfer. It wouldn't have been a problem if I knew what a modern golfer wears. From memory, probably of vintage cartoons, I dressed like a golfer from the 1930's.

I showed up my friends house and they were all wearing what we normally wear.
