Uh thats because even though they have attempted to separate the companies Chinese Law doesn't recognize this and can force the company to hand over any sort of records. I mean China has been caught using TP Link Systems routers for hacks...
In November 2024, Microsoft reported that a botnet using compromised TP-Link routers was used by Chinese hackers for password-spraying attacks.
