ive become the de facto 'keep track of when stuff needs maintenance' person. It has happened kind of organically at first...but now it's a lot of stuff. From the house, to the car, to the ebike, the dog (ie vet visits, nail trimming)...I have to keep tabs on when something needs maintenance and then do it or get it scheduled and taken care of. I feel like I'm dropping the ball a bit with some of the stuff cuz of how much there is. We talk about it...shes busy too with her load of things she captains but I wish my partner helped more with that stuff.

You mean what you want to tell him or he wants to tell you?

I wish he did it and I just told him. But then he said he has done it

a simple one, but just putting dishes in the dishwasher and not just leaving them in the sink, which is right next to the dishwasher

I'm brought it up countless times but there is some kind of almost pathological inability for my wife to do it, before the dishwasher, it was allowing too many dirty dishes to accumulate and then makes a small job a big one

after like a decade, i've kind of made peace with it, and sometimes it does get done, but yeah, pretty annoying

this is such an important part of marriage. Some things you can get your spouse to do differently, and some you can't.

reply

Aah! Very interesting question. But I never even thought of that.
