When I first heard of mining crypto back in 2018 i saw it as something big something that is unusual and only the elite can do that certain act, don’t mind me thinking like that after all :b after a year when I got back from school that thought of how people can mine crypto I did not look for any materials or devices that are costly I looked at my i3 3gen desktop pc that barely can run gta san andreas in 60 fps with no gpu of course and I was like. Well, what if I also take part into this act and see how much my pc could handle so I have started from some popular choices like that crypto mining browser that lets you mine while browsing the net but it was too slow like barely 5 Satoshi during two days after trying other methods I come up to Xmrig software that claims to mine Monero crypto without the need of Gpu and it is pool mining I didn’t know what was pool mining back then so i looked it up and understood that with no gpu and that my CPU is really weak and definitely a potato, I thought why not giving it a shot.
So, I read an online guide on how to run Xmrig software on my pc and how to link the wallet via the public pool mining, where there were so many people that provide a particular hash rate from their devices each has its power and hashes that contribute to the network and chain.
After setting everything up I was glued to the screen waiting for that Monero to go up but after 3 hours it started to be 0.00000001 xmr I was so disappointed because my CPU power wasn’t enough and after searching, I found out that if I keep going, I will be making only over 0.015 usd per day if I kept running it for 24 hours which is crazy in terms of power and electricity cost cut. After three days I find out I have made like 0.04 usd. Then I got frustrated that for this long I made only that. So I started calculating the electricity cost vs the profit I could make with this CPU and software and it turned out that it is significant loss if I kept it in the long run vs the profit I made which really low. It turned out to be a very fun experiment and just to realize that other powerful CPUs are suitable for such tasks even though mining Monero with no Gpu is totally fine it is Cpu mining friendly. Looking forward to buy a new CPU after this whole time and upgrade my machine to make it better.

You would earn more by mining one Bitaxe gamma on Braiins pool. They also pay out in Lightning, so you’ll receive a daily payout.
