Just read something today that reminds me of Stacker News. This page describes the cognitive dissonance theory. When something induces pain or is challenging to overcome, we tell ourselves that prevailing over the hurdles itself makes our membership extra sweet. We hold it dearer to our hearts; our loyalty is sealed.

I got reminded of the days in which we had to input our own wallets, learn the difference between CCs and sats, and familiarise ourselves with the rules of engagement of a platform unlike no other. Is it any wonder that we like it here?

Are there any other organisations that invoke a sense of pride in you because becoming a member is fraught with difficulties?

I can truly express my experience as a beginner in Bitcoin; it has been amazing. Little by little, I have been able to interact and discover new worlds in Bitcoin.

What has been your biggest revelation so far

Seeing how Bitcoin helps me learn many things and the store of value it represents.

Possibly! Just the other day my wallet started acting up AGAIN! But I’m just obsessed with bitcoin and SN. So I fix and keep on going
