This is a super super interesting idea by a company called Starcloud. The point of this mission is to test how data processing could work in space and if the results are promising launching more and powerful chips into space to see how they preform. If this works it would be a huge shift in the data center race because cooling and noise issues would completely go away. Power could easily be generated via solar arrays as well.

Data centers would not disappear from the surface because of issues you would face in space like solar flares, which could damage or even destroy a center, along with other issues like latency. However, if we were able to move even a fraction of the computational needs to orbit in the future that would be revolutionary.
