Does the Stacker News model work for games?

I think Stacker news model could be interesting for games, but I'm not sure.
For games users could create levels / maps / mods and upvoting with sats would be used as the bot-deterrent filtering/rating system.
Stacker news being centralized is a good thing to ensure the system cannot be gamed (opposed to Nostr in this case - where zaps can be faked).
Being realistic though, the game has to be good enough on its own that people play it. Bitcoin doesn't fix that.
I'm wondering if the game is good enough already, then users happily play and build content on it for free.
Does bitcoin solving spam/bot content really make the game much better?

Until we can figure out how we can "decentralize a lightning node" or receive to multiple receivers atomically, I think every system that wants to use proof of payments to fight spam will require centralization so the system can prove it was paid. While nostr is still figuring this part out (all pay-to-post relays are centralization vectors), I am not sure we can ever figure out how to build such decentralized systems.

Adding lightning to gaming has long been a dream of mine.
Satlantis - #1243619 - Original minecraft did this well. The internal market useds Sata.
I would like to see a FPS game where you had to buy bullets and grenades with Sats.
Also a game like Eve online with its huge marketplace using Sats as in game currency would be amazing.

I used the name Satlantis to refer to their old Minecraft server which I felt had a better market place before Microsoft shut them down and they switch to the open source minecraft version.
