A cashless world would destroy the last vestiges of privacy, creating a ‚digital panopticon‘ overseen by a single watchman (CB), surveying all and judging whether transactions met some arbitrary notion of the public good.

Not yet, Bitcoin still has the privacy and fungibility issues to solve.
