I don’t think you understand what biometrics are.
In Canada , in order to get a passport , u go to Costco or Walmart or some other place that takes approved passport photos. It’s a picture with a regular camera in front of a white screen. There is no iris scan, retinal scan , fingerprints , face scan , pupil distance measurement or anything else. U pay 10$ for the pic and u fill out a form and mail it in and you get your passport 3 weeks later in the mail. A regular photo does not identify anyone. You can wear a fake moustache and glasses and a hat and no one would recognize u. Biometrics is like dna. It can identify u with certainty using hi tech cameras specially designed for that.
Anyways , you sound like you like compliance since you don’t want to “cause a scene at the airport “ so go ahead and comply. And when they tell you to give them your bitcoin and to pay your taxes , just hand it over.
