Abstract:
This paper proposes a conceptual framework for understanding computational intent and action through the lens of topology, where intent is treated as a manifold and action manifests as punctures, flows, or holes within it.
Using the historical and theoretical trajectories of lambda calculus and LISP, we examine how pure and applied intents propagate, intersect, and erode across the landscape of technological development, drawing riparian metaphors for boom and bust cycles in hardware and software evolution.
