Well it isnt Pujols but its still someone with zero coaching experience. The last years he has been a special assistant to Angels general manager Perry Minasian. I have no idea why the Angels would hire someone with zero experience but ya know its also the Angels so I guess I should not be surprised by really odd hires at this point.
