They completely nerfed Chat GPT, @SwapMarket complains, and it makes sense, because now that consensus starts to form that AGI is still a decade away (at least), OpenAI needs to switch evergreens from nerd emulation, to... no, you didn't see this one coming... porn emulation. OpenAI will allow verified adults to use ChatGPT to generate erotic content, shared by @south_korea_ln (#1258011 by @suraz). The main skepticism over the KYC aspect aside, Sex robots are here… and it's ok was shared by @carter.
@nkmg1c_ventures shared that Wikipedia Is Getting Pretty Worried About AI. They aren't worried about the future prospect of personalized porn though, but that they're getting less humans visiting their website. Perhaps, in a few months, PornHub will be Getting Pretty Worried about AI too.
Trust the bot?Trust the bot?
@Scoresby shared The simulation of judgment in LLMs, underlining that the LLM response you see is (often) not a result of an actual thought process, but just a simulation of the result of that process. @jakoyoh629 shared Civic Education in the Age of AI: Should We Trust AI-Generated Lesson Plans?, and perhaps we could, but how do we know that the lesson plan your kid's teacher is AI generated? @0xbitcoiner shares a solution; Proof of Humanity: Certifying Human-Originated Content in an AI Internet, then at least trusting the bot remains a choice. The question remains though: why should we care? We'll be replaced anyway.

Thanks for ruining my Tuesday morning 😢
I'm sorry. Why do you want SkyNet so badly?
Because I want goods and services to expand to the masses for cheap!!
Is it really the lack of AGI that is preventing that now?
Nah it’s the human condition. Reading this book called Poor Economics and it clear that people sometimes can’t get out of their own way.
But I am hoping AGI can overcome the human condition especially when it comes to highly technical goods and services like health care and water access
AGI in the way the CEOs talk about it just means Sam Altman is the emperor and we all pay him. Then either we run out of money or barterable goods or skills, because Sam controls all the jobs and by then all the money and all the property too, or he gets bored. It's like an extinction level event if this were to happen the way these guys envision it, so I for one am super optimistic that there's no AGI in the foreseeable future. It gives humanity a chance to not be completely disrupted.
Also, I think that taking away incentives to actually do a good job is only going to make things worse, not better. So anything that's not happening now, will definitely not happen with AGI in the mix. Elon championing UBI because AI will take all the jobs? That's not a good outcome. It means life becomes meaningless.
Damn so no Cortana for us?
Maybe after "reseeding"

The new AI focused Google search results are seriously lacking. A few months ago I was able to find a tweet about L2/ZK learning tree just by providing a few keywords, and now I get a max result of 10 pages none of which guide me to this tweet. Grrr.
I also noticed a regression on brave's AI results... It may even provide an answer to a query but it cites wrong. Kinda useless this way.
Maybe grok.com will help with tweet search - X has restricted crawling for a while now.
Hell no, not while I’m still breathing! Ahahah
The irony here is that for all the talk about AGI timelines, the business reality is that AI must remain immediately profitable while building toward lofty goals. The overlooked factor is the slow erosion of open informational flows. If AI becomes gated, restricted and tuned for engagement rather than exploration, its role as a knowledge amplifier will diminish long before its role as an entertainment engine reaches maturity...
AI is a very powerful tool.
