Hiding in plain sight is much better. Plausible deniability.
In order to be able to "hack" that image file, they need to have PHYSICAL access to it, to the same file, not a copy. Copies are worthless.
Use your brain to create false clues until the attacker get lost.
btw I never hear anybody that hide a seed into an image and get "hacked"...
All this fear porn with "get hacked" make me laugh. Only dumb idiots get hacked and not because of the method they used, but because they are dumb and sloppy.
Complexity doesn't mean is more secure...
