Very cool. I only skimmed the video and didn't quite catch why they can't switch on the screen. Is it because Curry's defender is so intent on not giving him space for even a moment?

Yes, multiple defenders sometimes 3 at a time are distracted by him so even if he's not shooting it creates opportunities for the others. Even when he's not holding the ball they don't want to leave him open in case he gets a pass, knowing he can shoot from pretty much anywhere
