A percentage of today’s sales across all your locations has been converted into bitcoin. The bitcoin is now available in your Square bitcoin wallet. As always, you can modify your conversion rate or transfer bitcoin to another wallet at any time.
Anybody following me knows that I'm overseas and doing a bunch of volunteer work. Meanwhile, I still currently have a fiat job back home and am collecting deposits for the holiday season. I've got a reoccurring client that always wants to pay via CC and I never let her because of the fees. This year, I took the bait because of Square's new bitcoin conversion thingy. I didn't even have a Square account before. Long story short: it worked! She's only paid the 20% deposit, and may do the rest some other way because I still jacked the rate to cover CC fees on my end. But still!
So, this week I: bought my first drugs with bitcoin; got paid in bitcoin for the first time; and created my first home assistant instance that made a bitcoin miner respond to a solar inverter. I'll post about the latter next week after some more testing. Not trying to pretend everything in my world is going great right now. Plenty of things are very hard and painful. I just wanted to share in case you're sitting there not seeing bitcoin adoption in your neck of the woods. Adoption is definitely happening in other places.

Acknowledging small wins make us feel great against all the rest of things happening! Congrats on your first client paying CC to allow you to receive sats - thanks to block! May it will the first of many others to come. Keep up the good work!
Bookmarking this for our next TM7 for next AGORA p2p marketplace update. Examples like this are great to motivate other businesses and small merchants to accept bitcoin.

This post is very comforting to me, as I live in South America, where adoption is low or nonexistent. Thanks for sharing ⚡

I’m sorry to hear you’re in a Bitcoin desert (my current permanent home is one as well), but it’s great to hear that this was an encouragement. I certainly meant it to be.
