Why is it so hard to do research. Why on earth would someone that actually knows even a little bit about Thiel be surprised by this. I expect more of Reason.

It is disappointing where Reason has fallen to.
Maybe buying and rehabilitating Reason can be part of @siggy47's long-term ~Politics_And_Law plan.

Love that idea!
I just hope it doesn't hire Whitney Webb. Her takes on Thiel always annoy me because it seems like she hasn't read anything about anarcho-capitalist theories on private defence agencies. And this is something Thiel clearly is doing.

I wonder why they found the libertarian-ness surprising. Thiel's always identified as a libertarian, as far as I know.
