Since Bibi claimed he did nothing wrong (I am not knowledgeable at all over diplomatic immunity so this is much more of a question/out loud thought) is it possible to extend it once they land to get him out? Or does it have to be when they first arrive??
I remember a couple years ago maybe that the US had even abused it by flying home the wife of a dipolat who killed someone in a car crash going the wrong way and they only let her return to either the UK or maybe France once the country said that the wife would be charged, face trial and sentencing but instance of jail would be deported.
I'm not sure whether you can get diplomatic immunity after the alleged crime. The status must have existed beforehand. Still, I'm confident he will be freed. Jonathan Pollard, who I think had dual citizenship, was eventually released despite committing treason against the US, so anything is possible.

That would make the most sense that it has to be established beforehand.... just one of those things since I dont know for certain is it possible kind of things. It will be interesting to see if the US cuts some sort of deal with Israel over this because it is safe to say Trump is very very very very very very pissed at Bibi.

I think Pollard is still alive today and lives in the Holy Land
