What a blood bath....... I am bomboozled
Only 5 of us havent had to use a buy in.... just insane to me

You're killing it! You still have most of the best teams to choose from
reply
Look at supercyclone's picks every time he picks I am like "are you sure" and he still wins. He has a ton of good teams to use.

Insanity
Is he ever going to pivot to good teams?

I don't really understand his strategy but it is working. He seems to be targeting bad teams to bet against more than targeting the best teams.
The true test will be if he wins this thing will he be strong enough to hold the sats and not want to sell them for a nintendo switch 2.
reply
That is my preferred strategy...and sometimes the Cardinals defenders just swat the ball 20 yards back into their own endzone anyway.

Haha hilarious. We need to talk about guys fumbling before the endzone. This is two weeks in a row. I don't understand how this keeps happening. I understand maybe once a year a guy is dumb but how does it happen two weeks in a row?

That's not even the one I was thinking of

I am sure it is great but he just got Switch 1.5 years ago. We aren't going to upgrade systems every 18 months. I am still rocking the PS4.

Plus he is on 'vacation with back pay'

I think he's one of the special "essential" people who get to work without pay until they get their backpay.

Oh..... I thought I was about to have a friend here that was on the same struggle bus lol
Yeah no I have to go into the office and continue to operate as normal which kinda hits some snags when the Department of Energy furloughed 60% of the staff.... Plus the House is in recess to keep pressure on the Senate Dems

Can you get a part time job during shutdown?

This week was real bad you had the Rams and Cardinals who were both favoured by more than a TD go down. Although the Rams failure was completely expected by me.

Mac Jones isnt that bad so I was surprised to see the spread like it was because he had pieces around him to let him succeed.

I think it was the fact that Pearsall and Jennings were out more than Jones. He has played well. But the 49ers pretty much had CMC and a bunch of has beens against one of the best offensive teams in the NFL with a top 5 QB (as long as he is healthy) and 2 10 top receivers. I am not surprised the Rams were favoured but the line did get a bit ridiculous at -8.5.

The Cardinals snatching defeat from the jaws of victory was epic,

It truly was.

Could have been 6 if the saints pulled through against the 9ers in week 2
reply
Could not overcome the return of the Mac.
I think other than Seattle spanking the Saints pretty much every game NFC West teams have been involved in has come down the wire.

Next year we should add the consolation prize idea for whoever gets the most wrong picks.
reply
42 sats \ 4 replies \ @grayruby 10h
Aren't they doing that in the nostr pool? That's vincesats gets his pick wrong every week.
reply
Yeah, it seems like a fun way to stay in it throughout.
You could really do three prizes
  1. Who survives the longest
  2. Who makes the most correct picks
  3. Who makes the most wrong picks

I think we need to add in some kind of further futility measurement beyond simply losing to really give people a chance who aren't knocked out week 1 because if you get knocked out week 1 it is probably better to start picking losers than to rebuy.
reply
I think you should have to rebuy to be eligible for the other prizes

That's a good idea.
