Everything in moderation.
Life is meant to be experienced - good food, reckless adventures, maybe even a little danger now and then. You only live once, so why not? But moderation is the key. The same applies to medicine, hallucinogenic plants, or even strong opinions. All of these things deserve respect.
Even when it comes to Bitcoin and orange-pilling people, moderation matters. Push too hard and you turn people away. Hold back too much and the spark never lights. The real challenge is finding that balance - the line between yin and yang. Not this, not that, but somewhere in the middle.
In the end, extremes burn out. Balance builds empires.

... then you have the distillation of conversation and comments like #12462071, partially quoted below:
[...] failing to compete on the active stackers field. Gotta break into that 1000+ comments per month region[...] love the highest signal area!
Isn't this sort of yearning unhealthy? In the author's mind, comparison occurs between the typical comment, and the pinnacle of dozens if not hundreds; and fatigue of ricing each line of markdown is all too likely to result in fewer stackers who produce any verbal content. While the site's oversimplified economics happily accept any supermajority of zaps from silent readers, there must be some personability, some tolerance of the drunkard, the dyslexic, the random LOL

Footnotes

  1. please don't interpret my comment as any sort of derision towards @Scoresby who quite boldly commented that self-evaluation in direct response to the monthly news.

Very true! I do tell most people about "Moderation, irrespective of what it's need to relate to, but some will take your advice, why some don't. Balancing things in life , career or destiny is the key. Thanks for sharing this wonderful note.

In many ways I agree.
The ideal economy is a balance between good government and free enterprise. Both are required and neither can achieve maximum results without the other in place. This ideal may never be achieved to perfection but it can be aspired to and worked toward.
Balance is fundamental to many natural systems and understanding its universality and constantly adjusting character is useful.
Perhaps counter intuitively in a balanced system approach there is inherently constant change and adjustment whereas in unbalanced monolithic systems there is rigidity and inability to adapt to change.
In ideologies people tend toward extremes because of the certainty and simplicity that extreme positions appear to offer, when the truth is that in life and natural systems there is always a constant state of flux.
The beauty and strength of democracy, free enterprise and science and the freedom of speech and contest of ideas that forms the basis of them is that balance and need for constant flexibility to achieve it is recognised.
You cannot have good science and innovation, free enterprise and democracy without the freedom of speech and the contest of ideas that underpins them.
Autocracies and rigid dogma on the other hand are locked into a rigidity that ultimately undermines their apparent certainty and strength.

Totally get where you're coming from. Balance is everything - whether it's enjoying life’s pleasures or spreading the word about Bitcoin.
Push too hard, and you lose people; too soft, and the message doesn’t land. It’s like walking a tightrope, but when you find that sweet spot, things just click.

Everything in moderation has good and bad sides. It could reduce spam and out of topic discussion but it could let discussions beying with one side and against another side like for example being with non custodial wallets and against custodial wallets and against opinions are moderated.
