I always thought this arrangement was crazy. Walgreens on one corner, and a Rite Aid on the corner across the street. Walgreens was there first, and Rite Aid moved in later. It was a hostile takeover; they had to buy the real estate from around a half dozen active small businesses to have the space to move in. This was just the story in my city, but it makes me wonder if they were playing too aggressively on a large scale.
