International construction and development firm Skanska said Monday that Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has awarded the contractor's joint venture with FlatironDragados a $323 million contract for the first phase of construction on the $1.5 billion Airfield and Terminal Modernization Program (ATMP) Roadway Improvements Project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Skanska said its share of the joint venture is 55%, which totals almost $178 million.
