15,000 nodes
Sadly, most of you don’t even have that number of followers on social media, let alone you’ll start to convince real people to run nodes for a long enough time to make an impact. Face it: you don’t scale.
Face it: you're not a hero. But that's ok; I'm no hero either. We don't have to help 15k people each. Help 1, and not at the cost of someone else, and you're doing great. That's net benefit, and it is much more important than having 15k+, or even 15M+, accounts following you on twitter; they're not going to run nodes either.
Let's not move into some collective crisis and fold, just because there isn't much to cheer at, because that's just at the surface. Peel away the dirty, moldy layer and find a fresh one underneath. For example: Jason is asking for help importing miners; maybe someone among those countless followers can contribute to a solution?
There is much work to be done.

This reads a lot like "I have been force-fed tech that has 1-click functions, auto updates, major feature changes, and no sovereignty and a node doesn't have that so it sucks."
Some things are not other things. I know, it sucks but, chess isn't checkers. Sometimes to do truly cool stuff, you have to work harder. Wage slaves would lament building their own business because you can't just work and collect a check. Sorry, some stuff is worth the effort. Bitcoin is one such thing.

Run a node and shut the fuck up.

Umbrel and Start9 are free and easy for noobs. Run Bitcoin, LND, Elements and PeerSwap to have the full house. Learning curve alone is worth the journey.

Thought-provoking.
Most of the Bitcoiners will stop reading here. As the dogma and fixed scripture of our cult demands to run a node and not question it anymore.
I wonder how many will read past here.
