I can't help but wonder: why did they include Elon, Zuck and Sam in their survey?

People say that, but you ask them to download a model from huggingface and they go all derp. So, I don't expect proprietary AI to go away. Kinda like self hosting vs cloud hosting. You pay for the convenience.

I don't expect it to go away either, but that's not what I meant, nor does open weights preclude services.
