Signal is very centralizes, it requires a phone number and you can't run it on your server(self-host it).

I never undrstood why so many bitcoiners still ue telegram and its groups. We have simplex, matrix, bitchat, xmpp and many people self-hosting those services. We only need a cultural change, or more propaganda from the govt cracking down dissidents. It's either by love or by pain.
