Hi stackers,

We recently have had a deeper look into the markets and found some very interesting markets are missing.

After giving it a proper thought, we've decided to add a regular thread for our creators to share and discuss any new market ideas and other things.

Here's the first of such threads:

Got any markets you think Predyx should add/have?

Are we missing some markets? (...like Soccer leagues and some other prominent sports tournaments)

Or, any other suggestion, just drop in??

There are a bunch of regularly occurring econ reports that usually get a lot of interest:

CPI
Inflation expectations
Unemployment
GDP
Home sales

My sense is that inflation predictions would garner the most interest from bitcoiners and they complement the Fed policy markets you already have.

I think the two best candidates would be what the next CPI estimate will be and what the next inflation expectation estimate will be.

CPI estimates are put out by the bureau of labor statistics (https://www.bls.gov/cpi/) and the next one comes out 10/15. You'd just have to specify overall vs core inflation.

Inflation expectations are gathered by several groups. I think the most cited come from University of Michigan and can be tracked at the Federal Reserve (https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MICH). They survey both one-year and five-year expectations. I think one-year is probably the better choice. The next release is 10/24.

I'd lean towards overall CPI as the inflation market of most interest to folks.

Users can create markets they feel are missing. I think you can add Stanley Cup champion and NBA champion markets soon with those leagues starting in the coming weeks.

I checked https://beta.predyx.com and I didn't see any markets for Bitcoin stats like hashrate, vByte price, or anything like that.

I love the idea of Cricket markets, however I feel there's hardly any interest (except you, grayruby and undisciplined). Cricket lovers like to give their money away to the Dubai underworld.

Now that the Indian government has banned all online betting and fantasy gaming platforms, it's more likely that more money will be going to Dubai underworld. However I also think of we can promote our Cricket markets to the Indians or South East Asian people in some way, we may get a great reception for Cricket markets.

I'll try to get in some of my friends at the least.
