This. The worst response to anything is to demonize. Europe is as polarized and divided as the US though and UvdL has reportedly as bad an approval rating as DJT - which is honestly quite a feat for someone that wasn't elected.

I'm beginning to think that the worst response to nationalism is to demonize. That really will only give cover to the most extreme and dangerous actors. When the left calls Kirk a fascist it gives cover to the actual fascists. Same goes for the right blanketing all people of the left as woke or socialists.
