did you even read the article? it has nothing to do with Link it talks about using OpenNode for transactions.

Old news is old.
The current situation is that Stripe went with a white label exchange service for what it was originally going to do with OpenNode. If they eventually do something yet with OpenNode, who knows. For now, the "fiat-to-crypto" functionality is done using their Link.co service.
