Howdy there, partner! Welcome on into the Stacker Saloon.
Saddle on up to a stool and spill the beans about your day, fire away with them questions, or let loose and give us the lowdown on your wild and woolly life. We're all ears, so don't hold back!
We're open round the clock, so mosey on in whenever you please!
So I’m an assistant Cub Master and we just spent 45 minutes signing over paperwork to have access to our account at the local bank. What a joke, permission to spend your own money.

the shitcoiner lost all the bets and couldn't sustain it with sats from faucets. That's the life of a shitcoiner: a loser.

shitcoin, noun: column in table in database in gadget described on territory unsupported by zaps on saloon boasts about mining using that shitcoin's column's table's database's official boutique deluxe gigagadget; see also, "rare pepe"
oops err that doesn't define shitcoin-er
how about, "person who pushes buttons on gadget expecting voltages on bus to change"
reply
Damn! I was liking that territory

Isn't this wrong?
In this case, we can see that this payment is for the mainnet instance of the Lightning Network (lnbc), and is requesting 2,500 uBTC (microbitcoin), or 25,000,000 satoshis.
Aren't 2,500 uBTC 250,000 satoshis?
I mean, micro-something is something times 10^-6 so 1 uBTC is 100 satoshis:
>>> 100_000_000*(10**-6)
100.0
So 2,500 uBTC should be 250,000 satoshis, no?
>>> 2500*100_000_000*(10**-6)
250000.0
What am I doing wrong? Please help, I think I'm stupid

I actually woke up earlier from another one of those "I should post these ideas on SN" sequences, although it was several hours ago by now.
There were a few personal things that probably don't belong online after lucid consideration, although it's interesting that my subconscious included them in the bunch of ideas that survived awakening; my guess is that they were from a previous or parallel sequence, and the unrelated sequences got bunched together.
The main interesting idea, which I began trying to record a few years ago although gave up after a few minutes, is about this problem of recording ideas from dreams. It's a ritual I've tried many times, with varying success, and two main takeaways:
  1. The medium used for recording has a strong influence on which ideas get explored in greater depth and which get abandoned; scribbling on paper is my ideal, although I don't often have the foresight of placing the writing materials at hand when going to sleep.
  2. The mental spaces of sleep, hypnagogia, and wakefulness correspond directly to mathematical spaces containing the relationships between the concepts used to describe ideas occuring within them. Whatever chaos occurs during dreams gets narrowed down when passing through hypnagogia, and while only the concepts that have some definitions across all three spaces survive, even these might have changed relationships, leading to some of the retrospective weirdness.
I'm hesitant to do a more detailed writeup because, as you can probably tell by now, these ideas are quite disorganised and I haven't got a disciplined ritual yet... although it could help in organising them.

really interesting tho, keep going

stablecoins = the exact same fake papers offered in the beginning only that are now "digital" tokens
