It’d be interesting to look at when and how all that boomer and genX wealth is gonna get passed down to their 'kids', and what kind of impact that’ll have on the ~econ.

Thanks to decades of strong economic growth and falling interest rates, America’s Boomer generation holds more than half of all of the country’s wealth. Notably, they make up only a fifth of the population.
This chart show U.S. household wealth distribution by generation, using data from the UBS Global Wealth Report 2025.
What strikes me most about this chart is not only the sheer magnitude of the wealth accumulated by the baby boomers, but also the multiplier effect that intergenerational wealth transfer will have.
