Arch Linux, look no further, once you get used to it, it's the best. Spend a little time on it at the beginning and you're set. I have a macbook pro with dual boot with Arch and now I'm even too lazy to use macOs
I like Arch a lot, actually it's my second favorite. I just got a bit less enthusiastic about it after the xz security issue and how it almost got into Arch, while on debian only into sid.

You're right about the xz thing, but it's not like debian is immune by design either. The thing with rolling is not to update like crazy and wait, do checkupdates in case there are critical packages... it's a balance I guess... maybe it's just that I'm an arch fanatic lol ...btw

Of course Debian is not imune but how long would it take to the xz to reach stable? Much more time than it would be released to arch, imo it's a huge security advantage.

The xz backdoor was actually caught pretty fast because rolling users hit it first and the community spotted it, we're like the canaries in the mine that help everyone else. You have a good point, i can't argue with that 🫡

Luckily it was caught pretty fast. I like arch as I wrote is my second favoutire distro, because it's simple very hardcore and community driven. But after years using it, and comparing to Debian, don't get offended, but arch seems more like ethereum while Debian more like bitcoin.

hahaha that was a good comparison, I understand you prefer it more, I'm not offended at all, it's a matter of taste and what suits one best
