Hey @sudonaka, I don't want to open a new thread, I only want to clarify some aspects of your last comment here: #1224839
  1. I do not play any "role" in this debate. As I said, I don't give a shit about any of node software you run or others run. I do not take sides, I think rational and practical.
This debate is not like "block size war" was in 2016-2017. This is totally different and is useless.
  1. I run for myself some LND nodes connected to various neutrino peers. So for me REALLY DOESN'T MATTER THIS DEBATE between knots and core.
I use onchain very rarely, so really doesn't bother me anymore the "size of the blockchain". I use sats mostly through LN channels and blocks served by neutrino peers. So I REALLY do not download any "spam" like you always try to push this idea.
So what are you going to do about this? Nothing. I do not run none of them, Core or Knots. Sue me for that.
I am tired of all this bullshit virtue signaling with people "announcing" what node they run. Is really pathetic and useless.
  1. If you don't like that, you are free to fork Bitcoin as you like. Let's see if you have balls to do that.
Bitcoin is based on incentives, on fees, so any tx that paid a fee is valid, we like it or not, this is the truth, no matter if it contains other data or not.
You don't like how Core team deal with this? Fine, fork Bitcoin and create your own filtered version, without incentives.

Really why knots supporters do not fork Bitcoin and get over with ? Nobody will stop you. PLEASE DO IT!

I would love to double again my btc stash...
Maybe you don’t have patience for this debate anymore, but your arrogance and comments about how “pointless” policy is shows what your “role” is.
Your role is to wake up average noderunners to realize they cannot trust OGs or devs anymore.
The noderunners must learn themselves what kind of policy they want to set, and that they are 100% responsible for the consensus they run.
You know this already, so you think it’s stupid- but many people are learning for the first time.
This is all part of the reason we now are moving to competing implementations of Bitcoin clients, which will help ensure the continued strengthening of the consensus rules above all.
