Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a deep passion for cryptocurrency, security, and privacy to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the core functionality of Cake Wallet, working on the technologies that power our secure, multi-currency platform. Your primary focus will be on building and securing the features that make Cake Wallet a trusted choice for users worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain features for the Cake Wallet ecosystem, with a primary focus on security, privacy, and reliability.
  • Implement support for new cryptocurrencies, blockchain protocols, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Write and maintain core wallet logic, including transaction creation, signing, and broadcasting.
  • Collaborate on security audits and implement best practices to protect user assets.
  • Develop cross-platform application logic and interfaces using Flutter and Dart.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience developing software in the cryptocurrency space (e.g., wallets, exchanges, blockchain protocols).
  • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency security principles, key management, and cryptographic fundamentals.
  • Experience with a mobile development framework like Flutter, React Native, or Swift/Kotlin. Familiarity with Dart and Flutter is a strong plus, and a willingness to become proficient is essential.
  • A demonstrable passion for privacy and open-source software.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical challenges.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience creating Flutter bindings for native libraries using Foreign Function Interface (FFI).
  • Deep knowledge of specific blockchain protocols (e.g., Monero, Bitcoin, Ethereum).
  • Contributions to open-source cryptocurrency or privacy-focused projects.
